David Laizans first joined SGS in Australia back in 1998 and has since worked with the company in Bangladesh, Thailand, and now Vietnam. He arrived in Ho Chi Minh City in 2018 and is currently SGS Vietnam’s Managing Director.
SGS are multinational industry leaders when it comes to providing testing, inspection, certification, and verification services from raw materials to the final products which helps to enable international trade.
David describes himself as a person who enjoys challenges, uncertainty, and disruption and is passionate about developing the next generation of leaders and building professional, productive, and customer-focused teams. In his spare time, David enjoys Formula One, malt whiskey, and quiet weekends. Having joined as a member last year he told us that having a platform to meet with other executives working in Vietnam to share and discuss business challenges is a big advantage for him.
