B+H Architects (www.bharchitects.com) is a global, award-winning consulting and design solutions firm providing architecture, planning, landscape, and interior design services. Today our team includes more than 450 curious designers, place makers, strategists, storytellers, and creative human beings who believe in embracing change and challenging the status quo to deliver resilient, healthy environments that make positive contributions to their communities and are characterized by vibrant human experiences.

One of B+H’s key strengths, which has contributed to our growth and expansion throughout Asia, is our ability to establish a local, on-the-ground presence in each of the markets we are in. Our hub and spoke business model allows us to expand into new markets that complement B+H’s core hubs with satellite studios that cost-effectively create a presence in key locations – establishing a local presence backed by an international team equipped with global best practices and standards. Established in 2010, B+H’s Vietnam studio lives in the heart of vibrant Ho Chi Minh City. This local presence is key to our success in the country, where international firms must possess extensive knowledge of Vietnamese culture, sociological conditions, and the local context to be successful.

With over 12 years of experience in the country, working across a variety of sectors and project typologies, B+H Vietnam works with many multinational corporations. However, a large percentage of our projects are currently with local developers, institutions, and government agencies. We have seen domestic clients desire to elevate their real estate assets through international design expertise blended with a local and contextual approach. Our integrated team of international designers from global studios, our strong presence in Vietnam, and our local team of multidisciplinary experts positions us to successfully offer design services to these clients.

Every project in Vietnam is inspired by its context – whether we draw inspiration from local architectural typologies, food, culture, or the surrounding unique urban fabric, our design teams work with a global mind and a local heart.

“The global crisis has forced us to reevaluate the purpose of all our buildings – from our homes and workplaces, to airports, hotels, restaurants, and public recreation spaces – along with the quality of human activity we expect them to support,” said Ian Donlan, Managing Principal, B+H Vietnam. “At B+H, we believe the question is not about how we will change our designs to suit the pandemic, but how the pandemic will ultimately force us to question the very roots of our design thinking and lead us to greater introspection about why and how we will design in the future.”
