Dear friends and members,

I am sure like me, many of you have spent more time cooking, washing up and doing household chores recently because of the recent lockdown.

I am particularly inspired by the tremendous acts of generosity and community spirit throughout our country and how people have rallied to help their friends, neighbors, and those hit hardest during the downturn. I encourage everyone to reach out to those who are still getting back on their feet, and support each other in whatever way we can.

I am delighted to see Vietnam opening up again as we continue to battle Covid-19. It is important in these times to remember that the corporate world also has the potential to do a great deal of good through incorporating and executing our Corporate Social Responsibility activities, as we have already seen over recent decades. These have evolved to encompass Environmental, Social and Governance strategies that companies apply to do business sustainably, and in this issue of the magazine, we explore ways that organizations can develop and execute their ESG policies in the most effective way.

We have a very interesting piece where we talked to several architects about how they are reimagining how they build and the materials they use to help their clients reduce their carbon footprint and environmental impact.

There are many other highlights, although too many to mention in this space. As always, you will find our columnists dispensing their wisdom on everything from executive leadership and economics to branding and health, while this issue also sees the addition of our new column on personal wealth management.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of our members, advertisers, readers, and to the team that helps produce this publication. It is because of your continued support, particularly over the last few months, that makes [C] Vietnam possible.

I hope to see you soon at the next Business Executive Network event. If you are not a member yet and would like to join our wonderful group of executive leaders, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Best regards,
